Hi, my name is Dean Jensen. I started Fly Fishing in 1972. I purchased an 8-foot Fenwick 6-weight fly rod and reel with some line, a few flies, a pair of waders, and a float tube.
After work one day I took my brother-in-law, one of his cousins, and one of my cousins, and off we went to try and catch some fish. They were just along for the ride and some beer drinking. Well to make a long story short, I caught a few fish, and then I had to go to shore to relieve myself.
My brother-in-law asked if he could try it out and I said sure, Well, needless to say, he caught some as well. The next day we went to the sporting goods store and they all got set up to try this great sport of fly fishing. The rest is history, we were hooked for life.
